This photo essay article is presented as I shot it.
Last year I started at the front and went back. This year I started at the back and finished at the front. It is presented here in the series of my examinations of light, shape, character of car and engineering.
This was an interesting day, light wise. The day itself was just like Pebble Beach, starting with a thick marine layer cover over the Lake Michigan location, which progressively opened out into a partially sunny day, then full sun.

So here we go, a Sunday spent at Bob Prince's second annual Coal Dock Concours.

The deep marine layer was preventing any good contrast and highlight on Mike Korneli's deep black Jag SS.
This nice interior composition was the only shot I was satisfied with. We'll return here later.
