1952 DB3 Sport
From gears and tractors came the David Brown period, so easily identified by the initialed and numbered series of models. Here we find the triangulation of square tubing, sprung by swing arms up front, coils all around, and a twin can W.O. Bentley heart providing Aston with another taste for Continental victory. Competition laurels were followed by a focus on the tailoring of Connelly and Wilton within sheetmetal shaped by contemporary taste and formed & fitted by a hundred competent hands, without compromising the visceral performance promised from the twin cam six of increasing force, and the suspension to keep it planted. Post war industrial wealth responded with pen pressed to check, later to become an object of desire for the movie going public.
