Vintage Videos
From the Velocity Group Archives
The second is a great little film on the late series Spider. The demographic profile here is perfectly portrayed. A real period Gem.
SZ
This is the gateway for our Vintage Video series.
These were provided by a friend who was, at the time, with the original ad department of Alfa, on via Kennedy, in Arese. These were provided as media material all part of our relationship with them for TV production projects in the early 1990s.
The first is a promotional film made for the Zagato SZ bodied series 166 chassis. More familiarly known as the amazing torsion bar front suspension, transaxle, di Dion, inboard disc brakes rear end Alfetta and GTV6 chassis. With its High performance latter series V6 it is closer to the GTV6. This is a real time capsule back to the 1980 and early ‘90s.
The third is another film made by the ad department in association with Instituto Luce film archives. This is titled Alfa Romeo: A Continuing Tradition. This follows the company, and society from Roaring Twenties all the way to the success of Carlo Chiti’s Autodelta GTAs, T33s and Brabham F1 cars.
These were all originally PAL format tapes, that were first transferred to NTSC back in the day. They were recently located in the Archives and transferred from video to digital, so they could be presented here.
